Yuri Oganessian awarded the Order “For Services to the Fatherland”

Subsequent to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of 24 October 2017 №512 «On decorating with the state awards of the Russian Federation» Scientific Leader of the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions JINR, RAS Academician Yuri Tsolakovich Oganessian was awarded the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland”, 2nd degree for his significant contribution to the development of science and education, training of qualified specialists.
On behalf of the JINR Directorate we congratulate Yuri Tsolakovich on being conferred the high State Award!
The Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” is awarded to citizens for the most outstanding merits and contributions to the country in the development of Russia’s statehood, professional advances, strengthening peace, friendship and cooperation among nations, or for significant contributions to the defence of the Fatherland.
The motto of the Order is «Benefit, Honour and Glory».
