Win at the “Open Science 2018”

Young scientists of JINR presented oral and poster reports at the 5th All-Russian Youth Scientific Forum “Open Science 2018” that was held on 21 – 23 November 2018 in the NRC “Kurchatov Institute”-PNPI, Gatchina. This year, the event gathered more than 250 young scientists and specialists, high-grade students and post-graduates from all Russia.
Topics of the Forum traditionally included the following scientific fields: nuclear and particle physics, theoretical physics, condensed matter physics, physics and technique of reactors and accelerators, biophysics, molecular biology, genetics. However, this year the number of topics was extended by new directions such as biomedicine, material science and new materials, electronic structure and properties of atoms, molecules and materials, chemical technologies.
The programme of the Forum comprised not only reports by young participants but also plenary reports by famous scientists devoted to the latest achievements in various fields of science, round tables, and trainings on personal and professional growth.
Moreover, a competition of the best report by the youth was held in the framework of the Forum. Maria Fomina, Junior Researcher of DLNP JINR, won the competition in the section “Physics of Particles and Nuclei” with the report on the DANSS detector of reactor antineutrino.
