Director of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research Academician V. A. Matveev congratulated Rector of the State University “Dubna” Prof D. V. Fursaev on the 25th anniversary since the establishment of the University.

Dubna University, as said in the congratulation, is famous for highly-qualified teaching staff, its talented graduates, highly-skilled engineers and specialists. It has achieved a lot in various scientific and applied fields of activities. Traditions of Dubna scientists helped form the unique student environment able to alter fates of the youth.

Scientists and specialists of the Joint Institute have been actively participating in scientific and educational programmes of the University for all these years. We hope to continue our fruitful cooperation.

JINR Director wished to all the staff of the University “Dubna” every success in teaching and scientific activities, new fascinating research and bright achievements, talented students able to enrich the world science.

Reflection in the press

The State University “Dubna” turned 25. The University has been recently included in the international rating “Three university missions”. And according to the information portal 360°, it will not stop on that. Nowadays, two faculties, two institutes, a college and five branches in Dmitrov, Dzerzhinsky, Lytkarino, Protvino, and Kotelniky operate as departments of the University. More than 120 educational programmes are available to study at the University. Among them, there are “Automation of technological processes and production”, “IT and computation equipment”, “Information systems and technologies”, “Nuclear physics and technologies”. Thousands of specialists graduate from the “Dubna” University annually. All of them find their jobs.

“A quarter of a century is not, in fact, a long term for a university, for an academic institution. It turned out that thanks to teachers, organization, thanks to the cooperation with the legendary Joint Institute for Nuclear Research University “Dubna” is now largely known. It is a great pleasure that talented young people study at the University, and they are in demand,” Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyev noted at the celebration of the University’s jubilee held in the fitness centre “Olimp”.

The Governor highlighted that the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research was one of the initiators of the University’s establishment. This year, the University jointly with the Institute opened the International School of Engineering to which first-year students were admitted from engineering and technical, IT and natural sciences departments. Students simultaneously learn the programmes of their department and of the School. The key aim is to teach practical skills.

In 2017, the Centre of Open Educational Technologies was opened at the University. Online courses are developed in it. Since then, five courses have been opened and another 25 are being developed. Moreover, the Unique course “Engineering computer graphics” has been created here.

Now, University “Dubna” is called the most dynamically developing university. And there are grounds for it. It is included in the top 100 best universities of Russia.
