The Central Bank of Armenia has introduced a commemorative coin dedicated to the chemical element oganesson (Og) since 14 April 2022.

The coin is made of silver and its nominal value is 1,000 drams. The issue of 500 coins has been minted by the Polish Mint.

The coin weighs 33.6 grams and has a diameter of 40 mm. The obverse portrays the chemical element oganesson (Og) and the JINR emblem. The reverse displays a sculptural portrait of Academician Yuri Tsolakovich Oganessian (sculptor – Gh. Chubaryan, 1979). The author of the design is Vardan Vardanyan.
