Session of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries

On 23 November 2020, a session of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries of the Governments of the Member States of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research will take place in Dubna in the video conference format.
Participants of the session will consider the report by JINR Director Academician Victor Matveev dedicated to the milestones of the Institute’s life.
At the CP session, the election of the JINR Director will be held, as well as the issue of introducing the position of the JINR Scientific Leader will be considered. Participants of the session will hear the report on the implementation of the Seven-Year Plan for the Development of JINR in 2017 – 2023 and will consider the proposals for amendments to the Seven-Year Plan.
During the session, participants will consider the draft budget of JINR for the year 2021, the milestones of the meeting of the JINR Finance Committee held on 19 November, as well as the audit results of the Institute’s financial activity in 2019.
The agenda of the CP JINR session also includes the issue of the resumption of the full membership of the Republic of Uzbekistan in JINR.
The session will be concluded with a general discussion after which the CP JINR decisions will be adopted.
The Committee of Plenipotentiaries of the Governments of the Institute Member States is the supreme body of the Institute. Each member of the Institute has one representative in the Committee of Plenipotentiaries. Committee sessions are held every year in March and November.
