The 128th regular session of the JINR Scientific Council will be held on 17 September 2020 as a video conference chaired by C. Borcea. The session will be opened with a report by JINR Director Academician V. A. Matveev dedicated to the overview of the Institute’s activities conducted since the previous SC JINR session.

Recommendations of the JINR Programme Advisory Committees adopted at the meetings in June and July 2020 will be introduced to participants of the SC session by PAC chairmen I. Tserruya (particle physics), M. Lewitowicz (nuclear physics) and D. L. Nagy (condensed matter physics).

Appointments of Deputy Directors of the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions will be endorsed. FLNR Director S. I. Sidorchuk will present the proposals for the appointments of Deputy Directors.

Moreover, participants of the session will consider the jury’s recommendations on the award of the V. P. Dzhelepov Prize that will be presented by JINR Director V. A. Matveev and FLNP Director V. N. Shvetsov.

General discussion and adoption of the Resolution of the Scientific Council will conclude the session.
