Registration for JINR-ISU Baikal Summer School 2021 continues
News, 10 June 2021
Registration for the 21st JINR-ISU Baikal Summer School on Physics of Elementary Particles and Astrophysics continues. The conference will be held online from 12 to 19 July 2021. We invite students and PhD students specializing in high-energy physics and astroparticle physics, as well as early-career postdocs, to participate in the School.
This traditional School series is organized jointly by the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna) and Irkutsk State University.
The School will have a modular structure this year. The main part of the School, including the core lecture programme, will have thematic sessions:
- Standard Model
- Quantum Chromodynamics
- The LHC results and future collider projects
- Astrophysical neutrinos
- IceCube results
The School’s programme will also include intensive discussions and problem-solving sessions in student groups, as well as opportunities for students presentations. The working language of the event is English.
Moreover, the main programme will be followed by a satellite event focusing on data analysis in astroparticle physics. It will be organized as an offline event intended for local students who wish to learn practical aspects of astroparticle data analysis, in particular gamma astronomy. The scientific programme and practical details of this event will be posted later. If you are particularly interested in this event, let organizers know in the application.
More details about the School and registration are available on the website.
