Registration for the Workshop “Element 105” has opened that will be held from 20 to 30 July 2021 in the frames of the Summer School (earlier the School “Russian Journalist”) in the “Volga” recreation centre not far from Dubna. Students, postgraduates, and graduates of courses in natural sciences and engineering aged 18-25 are invited to take part in the event.

The deadline for applications is set on 15 May.

In the frames of the Workshop, employees of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research will read lectures devoted to a wide range of issues of nuclear physics, particle physics and physics of relativistic heavy ions, neutrino physics and cosmology, condensed matter physics, biophysics and radiobiology. A part of the lectures will have the format of excursions to JINR large-scale facilities, for example, to the IBR-2 pulsed reactor.

At the end of the Workshop, a scientific seminar will take place at which participants of the School will present their own reports on any section of physics.

Please, pay attention that due to the unfavourable epidemiological situation, there is a risk that some restrictions will be introduced that will not allow participants to come to the Summer School. Organizers of the “Workshop “Element 105” inform that the option of online holding or postponing the event to August is not possible.
