The International Symposium "Interaction of the governments and national scientific organizations with the international organizations aimed at development and application of scientific knowledge" was held on 19-20 October 2015 in Kiev.

Main objective of the Symposium was to analyze the real situation in science in the world, to unite experience and to search the ways of enhancement of interaction between scientists of various countries for application of scientific knowledge as well as holding of the Scientific Council of the International Association of Academies of Sciences (IAAS).

Main subjects of plenary sessions, seminars and round tables of the Symposium were:

• The political, social, economic factors which caused emergence and evolution of the international organizations in to the scientific and technological sphere.
• Approaches of the analysis of interaction of the governments and the national scientific societies with the international organizations.
• A role of the international organizations in expansion of the international scientific and technological cooperation.
• Standard and legal aspects of interaction of the national scientific societies with the international organizations: barriers and the ways of overcoming.

On the Symposium several other topics such as internationalization of scientific researches and information security in a context of integration of scientific systems were discussed.

Organizers of the Symposium were: International Association of Academies of Sciences (IAAS), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the G.M.Dobrov Center for Scientific and Technological Potential and Science History Studies, the N.V.Ptukha Institute of Demography and Social Research, the M.K.Yangel State Design Office "Yuzhnoye".

Presidents and representatives of National Academies of Sciences which are members of the International Association of Academies of Sciences, representatives of UNESCO, leading scientists and representatives of youth associations in the scientific environment of various countries participated in the opening and work of the Symposium. On the JINR side the Symposium was attended by the following delegates: JINR Director V.A.Matveev, Director of the JINR University Centre S.Z.Pakuliak, Chairman of the Association of young scientific and specialists V.Сhudoba, Plenipotentiary of Georgia in JINR A.Khvedelidze and representative of Ukraine D.V.Soloviov.

The big conference hall of the N.V.Ptukha Institute of Demography and Social Research of the NAS of Ukraine became a venue of the Symposium.
