The festive events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Yerevan State University foundation were held on 1-4 October in Yerevan.

Numerous guests from foreign countries took part in the celebration. JINR was represented by the delegation headed by JINR Director RAS and NAS of Armenia Academician A.N. Sissakian.

O.Abramian – the Chairman of the Armenian Parliament, T.Sargsyan – the Chairman of the RA Government, A.Bagdasaryan – the Secretary of the Armenian National Security Council, A.Ashotyan – the Minister of Education and Science of Armenia, A.Simonyan – YSU Rector, R.Martirosyan – the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia and other officials spoke at the grand meeting. The address by Catholicos Garegin II was read. A.N.Sissakian made a speech at the conference dedicated to the anniversary date about the cooperation of JINR and Armenian scientific and educational centers, gave hearty congratulations of the JINR Directorate, RAS Presidium and Dubna University Directorate to Yerevan University community.

A.N.Sissakian met with the RA Minister of Economy N.Yeritsyan, the Minister of Education and Science of Armenia A.Ashotyan, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia R.Martirosyan, the Chairman of the RA Committee on Science, Plenipotentiary of Armenia to JINR S.Harutyunyan, the Councellor of the RF Embassy in Armenia V.V.Krivopystov. Wide range of issues was discussed, including new proposals on cooperation of JINR and Russia with Armenia in the fields of innovations.
