JINR received a delegation from the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Astana, Kazakhstan) headed by B.Zh. Abdiraiym.

The delegation consisting of Dean of ENU Faculty of Physics and Technical Sciences Associate Professor D.B.Kargin, Head of ENU International Department of Nuclear Physics, New Materials and Technologies Associate Professor B.A.Prmantayeva, Professor of ENU International Department of Nuclear Physics, New Materials and Technologies K.A.Kuterbekov acquainted with JINR’s activities, visited basic facilities of the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions, acquainted with possibilities of the Laboratory of Information Technologies. On the JINR side JINR Acting Director Professor M.G.Itkis, FLNR Director Professor S.N.Dmitriev, LIT Director Professor V.V. Ivanov, JINR Chief Scientific Secretary N.A.Russakovich, Director of JINR University Center S.Z.Pakulyak, LIT Deputy Director Professor V.V.Korenkov participated in meeting with the delegation. The delegation also met with Rector of the University «Dubna» Professor D.V.Fursaev and made an excursion to the University.

On a closing meeting at the JINR Directorate a ceremonial signing of the quadripartite agreement on cooperation in the fields of development of GRID-technologies was held. The signing is done in order to become a new phase of development of relationships between JINR, the University «Dubna» and Kazakhstan, in particular, .in such important aspect of cooperation as training of young scientists for JINR and Kazakhstan.
