On January 25, 2012, JINR representatives: Head of the JINR International Cooperation Department D.V. Kamanin and ICD Coordinator of the JINR-ARE cooperation E.V.Pryanichnikova participated in a festive reception arranged by the Egyptian Embassy in Moscow on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the Revolution of the Great People of Egypt celebrated on 25 January.

Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the Russian Federation Dr. Alaa Elhadidi opened the reception with a moment of silence in memory of the victims and the sufferers of the recent events in Egypt, which began on 25 January 2011. In his speech, he expressed confidence that unity of the Egyptian people is the key to their future prosperity. The JINR representatives thanked the Ambassador for the attention of the Embassy to development of cooperation between Egypt and JINR, and discussed plans for the near future. The JINR representatives also had a fruitful discussion with the new Cultural Counsellor Professor Osama El-Serwy and Second Secretary of the Egyptian Embassy Mr. Sherif Elgammal, who is the chief on consular issues.
