Nucleus-2025 conference invites applications

From 1 to 6 July 2025, the jubilee 75th International Conference “Nucleus-2025. Nuclear physics, elementary particle physics, and nuclear technologies” will take place at the Saint Petersburg State University (SPbSU). The event dates back to 1950 and is the oldest international nuclear conference in Russia and is among the oldest ones worldwide. Only in-person participation is available.
The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research is one of the organizers of the event together with SPbSU and Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute of Kurchatov Institute.
The registration and abstract submission are available on the conference website. The abstract submission deadline is 20 April. The accepted applicants will be notified until 15 May. Registration deadline is 30 May 2025.
The conference is devoted to the relevant issues of nuclear and high energy physics, nuclear medicine, neutron and synchrotron research, and their applications. In addition, research using synchrotron radiation and neutrons will be discussed. The main programme of the conference covers a wide range of scientific areas.
Scientific programme:
- experimental and theoretical studies of nuclei;
- experimental and theoretical studies of nuclear reactions;
- modern nuclear physics methods and technologies;
- relativistic nuclear physics, high energy, and particle physics;
- neutrino physics and nuclear astrophysics;
- neutron and synchrotron research and the required infrastructure;
- nuclear medicine;
- nuclear physics methods in the study of cultural heritage.
The programme includes plenary and oral presentations, along with a poster session. The working languages of the conference are Russian and English.
