We are glad to propose you to read the book “The man of Renaissance” published by the JINR Publishing Department to the 110th anniversary of the birth of the first JINR Director Dmitry I. Blokhintsev.

A short biography of the brilliant scientist of the 20th century, the first JINR Director Dmitry I. Blokhintsev (1908 – 1979) is presented. This man could live and work in times of Leonardo Da Vinci because of a wide range of his interests: quantum mechanics, nonlinear acoustics, philosophical and methodological issues of physics, nuclear reactors never known before, management of scientific centres of the country as well as art and writing poems in free time. The personality of D. I. Blokhintsev is reflected in documents, photos and his own utterances.

The book is aimed at wide audience. The printed version of the book is available in the JINR Science and Technology Library and the JINR Universal Public Library.
