New list of peer-reviewed scientific journals
News, 11 January 2019
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education renewed a list of peer-reviewed scientific journals approved for publication of major scientific results of dissertation research
In the frames of implementation of the set of measures aimed to improve the system of the state certification of academic personnel and increase the level of issues containing major scientific results of dissertation research, as well as targeted at integration into the world information space, approaches were revised to the compiling of the list of peer-reviewed scientific journals approved by Minobrnauki.
Basing on recommendations of the Higher Attestation Commission under Minobrnauki of the Russian Federation, which were largely discussed and supported by the scientific community, a new list of peer-reviewed scientific publications was made that would correspond to those fields of science in which major scientific results of dissertation research must be published. This will provide a higher level of expertise in a particular subject area. More stringent requirements are imposed on the editorial boards. In particular, each scientific specialization must be represented in the editorial board by at least three Doctors of Sciences.
The current edition of the list includes 1934 peer-reviewed scientific publications. As for other publications, work on clarifying scientific disciplines will be continued in 2019.
