National holiday of Mongolia

On 11-13 July, Mongolia, a Member State of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, celebrates its most important national holiday, Naadam.
Mongolia has been a JINR Member State since the Institute’s foundation. For more than half a century, Mongolian scientists have been actively contributing to the Institute’s activities. Cooperation is currently underway as part of 12 themes of the JINR Topical Plan on all major scientific directions. Mongolian researchers work at FLNP, FLNR, MLIT, LRB, VBLHEP, and BLTP at JINR.
On 16 February, on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia, the highest state titles, awards, and medals were presented to outstanding persons who made a significant contribution to the development of the country. Among the awardees was Leading Researcher of the Institute of Physics and Technology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS), former Deputy Director for Scientific Work at the JINR Laboratory of Neutron Physics, MAS Academician, Professor Deleg Sangaa.
During 2023 and 2024, in cooperation with Mongolian scientists, JINR scientists published articles devoted to the study of nuclear reaction products in heavy ions collisions, the investigation of some results of experiments by the BESIII Collaboration, the ion guide simulation for the GaLS Facility at FLNR at JINR, etc.
The Directorate of the Institute congratulates Mongolian colleagues on the national holiday of Naadam and wishes them and their loved ones health, happiness, and fruitful work at the multinational Institute for the benefit of science and progress!
