On 3 March, the Republic of Bulgaria, a JINR Member State, celebrates the Day of Liberation of Bulgaria from the Ottoman Oppression, a national holiday.

The Republic of Bulgaria has been a Member State of the Joint Institute since its establishment in 1956. Bulgarian scientists take part in joint work and research with JINR, including the development of JINR’s research infrastructure, theoretical, neutron, and neutrino physics, superheavy element synthesis, research on the biological effects of ionising radiation, information technologies, participation in other organization’s experiments, and other activities.

The Institute’s Directorate congratulates Bulgarian colleagues and partners on the Day of Liberation of Bulgaria from the Ottoman Oppression and wishes them good health and prosperity, successful work, scientific achievements, and discoveries for the benefit of science and progress!
