News, 25 February 2019
From 18 to 21 February 2019, the 32nd regular Task Force Meeting of the ICP Vegetation was held in Romania (Targoviste, the Valahia University).
At the meeting, there were 10 staff members of the Division of Neutron Activation Analysis and Applied Research of the FLNP JINR representing the Russian Federation, Belarus, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, and Tajikistan as well as one staff member of the Department of External Communications and Distributed Informational Systems of the Laboratory of Information Technologies Alexander Uzhinsky. Such composition of the delegation reflects cooperation of FLNP and LIT in the frames of the UN Programme for Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution in Europe, and now in Asia as well. Thanks to grants of Plenipotentiary Representatives of Kazakhstan and Serbia, two more specialists from these countries cooperating with the Department of Neutron Activation Analysis and Applied Research had an opportunity to take part in the meeting. 80 scientists from 33 countries participated in the meeting. All of them use the system of storage and processing of analytical data on air pollution, which has been developed specially for this programme on the JINR cloud platform. A detailed report on the meeting and JINR contribution to the UN Programme for European Air will be available in one of the next issues of the newspaper “Dubna: science, cooperation, progress”.
It should be reminded that from 29 February to 5 March 2016, Dubna hosted the 29th Task Force Meeting of the ICP Vegetation.
