JINR visiting Dubna schools

In the frames of the Year of Science and Technology held in 2021 in Russia, as well as in honour of the 65th JINR anniversary, the JINR University Centre decided to hold a series of meetings of the Institute’s employees with school students in the format of a marathon “JINR visiting Dubna schools” that started on 14 April.
In 2021, a JINR team is going to visit all secondary schools of Dubna to show the programme that provides activities for each age group of students so that to increase the interest among children in science. For junior school children, there will be physical experiments and classes on fascinating chemical reactions. Senior students will attend lectures at which they will learn what radiation neurobiology is and why research in this field is important for far space flights. There also will be lectures on the NICA collider, JINR, its laboratories, and some projects to acquaint school students with the Institute, as well as to solve the career guidance task. The first participant of the marathon was School No.1 where employees and administration members of the school held events for 540 students during one day.
