On 30 January 2018, JINR Directorate Advisor Dmitry Dmitrievich Kryukov passed away.

D.D. Kryukov started his professional life in 1956 as a PE teacher in the Central Asian Tashkent Technical University. In 1958, he moved to the Moscow Region where he was a coach in Ramenskoye and then in Dubna since 1959.
Dmitry Kryukov worked abroad as well; he was a coach in the Republic of Guinea and the Republic of Chad.
In 1974, D.D. Kryukov was elected a Deputy Chairman of the Joint Regional Committee. He greatly contributed to development of trade union and mass cultural activities.
Since May 1983, Dmitry Dmitrievich served as Director of the JINR Scientists’ Club, and, since 1998, he has been a JINR Directorate Advisor.
D.D.Kryukov directed considerable efforts and a lot of energy to development of the JINR Scientists’ Club. Meetings with scientists, politicians and artists, excursions and exhibitions were organized thanks to his active role.
For good management of the JINR Scientists’ Club D.D. Kryukov was encouraged by JINR Directorate for many times. He was awarded the Medal “In Commemoration of the 850th Anniversary of Moscow”, the Medal “50 Years of Poland’s Membership in JINR” , the Badge “Veteran of Nuclear Energy and Industry”; he was awarded the title of Honorary JINR Employee.
D.D. Kryukov’s bright personality, his great human dignity gained sincere respect and he had complete authority over all who knew him. Friends and colleagues will preserve the fond memory of him forever.
