On 26 March 2018, the international conference “JINR: 25 Years of a New Era” will be held in the International Conference Centre in Dubna, a science city in the Moscow Region. The conference will be dedicated to the 25th anniversary of a new era in the history of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (when a group of independent states entered JINR as its new Member States) and will be held on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of foundation of the Institute.

Heads of national relevant Ministries and Departments, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors accredited to Russia as well as Plenipotentiaries of the JINR Member States, Associate Members and some other countries, representatives of the Russian Government, some Russian Federal Ministries, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM and others will take part in the event.

JINR has accumulated considerable potential for new large-scale breakthrough projects presentation of which will be delivered in frames of the conference. Another key task of the Conference is to attract attention and interest of the international community to the ambitious mega science project “NICA complex” that is being implemented in Russia. Acquaintance with JINR includes participants’ visits to the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions and the Veksler and Baldin Laboratory of High Energy Physics as well as presentations on key objects of the JINR scientific infrastructure.

At the end of the event, participants of the Conference “JINR: 25 Years of a New Era” will sign a joint statement, and later on, a large press briefing will be held.
