“Friendship Bridges” between Dubna and Nova Gorica

On 25 April 2018, within the frames of the project “Friendship Bridges” that unites students from twin towns, school students from the Gymnasium of Nova Gorica (Slovenia) visited the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. This was the 6th visit to JINR of the Gymnasium students.
The visitors were greeted in the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions where a Junior Researcher R. Rymzhanov gave a talk on the history of the Laboratory, contribution Dubna scientists made to complete the Mendeleev Periodic Table with new superheavy elements, applied research carried out in the Laboratory and showed the IC-100 accelerator to the students.
