From 13 to 14 September 2021, a JINR delegation headed by JINR Director Academician Grigory Trubnikov will pay an official visit to Cairo (the Arab Republic of Egypt).

The delegation will take part in the event “Arab Republic of Egypt (ARE) – Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR): Today and Tomorrow”, organized under the guidance of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology of Egypt. The agenda includes a meeting of the JINR Director with the ASRT President, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, representatives of the embassies of the JINR Member States, and leaders of higher educational institutions and research institutes of the ARE.

The plenary session “Strategic Opportunities for Advancing Global Collaborative Perspectives Towards Achieving 2030 Main Research Goals” is scheduled for 13 September, at 10.00 AM (Cairo time. 11.00 AM Moscow time). Topical parallel sessions with the participation of representatives of JINR laboratories, as well as institutes and scientific organizations of Egypt, will be held from 12.00 AM to 5.00 PM (from 1.00 PM to 6.00 PM Moscow time).

A ceremonial opening of the JINR Information Centre at the headquarters of the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology is scheduled for 14 September from 10.00 AM to 11.00 AM (from 11.00 AM to 12.00 AM Moscow time). The online opening ceremony of the JINR IC was held in December 2020.
