On 30 November 2018, a delegation of the “Otkritie” bank headed by its President — Chairman of the Management Board M.M. Zadornov visited JINR. The delegation included 15 people most of whom are members of the Management Board of the financial corporation and managers of major structural departments.

Guests visited the Veksler and Baldin Laboratory of High Energy Physics where they were acquainted with the NICA project. They saw a new linear accelerator in the hall of injectors of the Nuclotron accelerating complex, visited the STRABAG construction site. An excursion to the Factory of superconducting magnets was organized for the delegation. Leaders of the bank paid special attention to modern process control methods used at the Factory of superconducting magnets. As a result of the visit, representatives of the bank have become more aware of the Institute, its large-scale tasks and needs in banking services.

The “Otkritie” bank is a multipurpose bank with the diversified business structure included in the list of systemically important credit organizations. The key shareholder is the Central Bank of Russia possessing 99,99% of shares. Due to the decision of the Bank of Russia, since 1 January 2019 merger of the “Otkritie” bank and B&N Bank. As a result of the merger, a new bank will be established that will operate under the “Otkritie” brand.
