Dear friends, employees of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, veterans and youth, our colleagues in the Member States and partners in the leading scientific centres of the world!

Today we are celebrating the Russian Science Day. This holiday is special, and it is twice as important to Dubna. After all, science is the very reason our city exists!

The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, which was instrumental in the growth and development of Dubna, forever imprinted the city’s name in history. On this day, we look back appreciating the long journey our international team has made. JINR has carried out a wide range of research in the field of elementary particle physics, nuclear physics and condensed matter physics, and trained highly qualified scientific personnel for the Member States of the Institute. Excellent conditions have been created for the teaching of young talented specialists.

Russian scientists, members of the multinational Dubna family, contribute significantly to the implementation of the most ambitious scientific projects at the forefront of world science. I am sure that this year JINR will bring a number of large and small, but still bright scientific results and events to the Russian and international community.

Today Dubna has become a unique international platform for cooperation in the field of science, education, and innovation.

From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate all my fellow scientists and all residents of our city on the wonderful holiday, the Science Day! I wish you health, good luck, and a lot of creative endeavors!
