BM@N Experiment Analysis and Software Meeting started
Conferences, 12 September 2023
An event organized by the Laboratory of High Energy Physics at JINR will take place on 12 – 13 September at VBLHEP. Its participants will discuss the analysis of data collected at the NICA Complex and hold a meeting on the experiment software. The event agenda also includes a meeting of the BM@N Institutional Board.
Such meetings are regularly held as part of collaboration meetings of the BM@N Experiment at the NICA Facility. Due to a delay in the processing of experimental data collected during commissioning runs at the complex, it was decided to postpone the collaboration meeting from 12 – 15 September to 28 – 30 November and hold particular meetings on 12 – 13 September.
As part of the first day of the event, at the BM@N Experiment Analysis and Software Meeting, its participants will consider reports on the identification of reaction products, the reconstruction and simulation of BM@N detector systems using GEANT4 for various experiments. At the meeting of the BM@N Institutional Board, its participants will discuss the organizational issues of the collaboration and consider applications submitted by scientific groups at the Physical-Technical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan (PTI ASUz) and the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) for their participation in the experiment.
On the second day of the meeting, the discussion of the status of software development for the BM@N Experiment, including cloud clusters and programs for aligning the geometry of the detectors, will take place. The participants of the event will consider application development problems and prospects for the software development for the facility. Speakers will deliver reports on the upgrade status of the experiment’s detector systems.
