From 3 to 11 April 2025, the 17th “Particles and Cosmology” Baksan International School of Astrophysics will take place in the Prielbrusye National Park. The organizers are the Institute for Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences (INR RAS) and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research.
The school is dedicated to the modern problems of astrophysics and cosmology, covering both experimental and theoretical aspects. The event’s programme includes four main lecture series:
- “Low energy and low background methods” – Jianglai Liu (Tsung-Dao Lee Institute).
- “Modern statistical methods and tools” – Grigory Rubtsov (INR RAS).
- “Anatomy of large neutrino telescopes” – Grigory Safronov (INR RAS).
- “The origin of the most energetic particles in the Universe” – Evgeny Derishev (Gaponov-Grekhov Institute of Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences).
In addition, the participants will engage in practical classes and additional lectures, along with a guided tour and seminars at the Baksan Neutrino Observatory.
Postdoctoral researchers and postgraduate students are invited to participate. Registration is available on the school’s website until 20 February. The working language of the event is English.
