В своей охоте на новые частицы и явления, скрывающиеся в столкновениях на БАКе (ЦЕРН), эксперименты ATLAS и CMS объединили свои усилия для изучения топ-кварков (t quark).

Как самый тяжелый из всех элементарных частиц, весящий почти столько же, сколько атом золота, t кварк менее изучен и понятен, чем его более легкие «родственники».

All matter around us is made of elementary particles called quarks and leptons.
