Spring scientific and organizational meetings in the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research started on 22 March with a meeting of the Finance Committee.

JINR Director G. V. Trubnikov made a report on the milestones of the Institute’s life that preceded the session. He informed participants of the event about the results of the February session of the Scientific Council the goal of which was to discuss adjustments to the Seven-Year Plan of the JINR development, the implementation of key projects of the Institute, forecast of their development, and plans for the three years left of this five-year period.

Participants considered the implementation of the JINR budget in 2020 and the draft revised budget for 2021. Deputy Head of the Finance & Economy Office M. P. Vasiliev made a corresponding report.

Vice-Director R. Lednický reported on choosing an audit firm for the audit of the JINR financial activity of 2020. The Committee agreed with the choice of the audit company “FinExpertisa”.

Members of the Committee, representatives of the Member States, took part in the general discussion on the presented reports. They congratulated the international team of JINR on the upcoming 65th anniversary, highly evaluated the results of activities of the laboratories’ teams and departments.

At the end of the meeting, the protocol was signed, which will be considered by the Committee of Plenipotentiary Representatives of the Governments of the JINR Member States.
