On 7 June, the TV channel Kultura broadcast a film about an outstanding scientist, Scientific Leader of the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions JINR Yuri Tsolakovich Oganessian.

The TV programme Linia Zhizni (lit. “Lifeline”) about Yuri Tsolakovich will be repeated on 11 June at 8:15 PM.

The description of the film on the website of the TV channel says the following: nowadays he is a famous scientist and specialist in the fields of nuclear physics. But in his childhood, he was keen on drawing and was dreaming about MARKHI. His mentor in scientific activities was Georgy Flerov. Jointly with colleagues, he took part in the discovery of heavy elements of the Periodic Table. Element 118 is named after him. RAS Academician Yuri Oganessian in Lifeline programme.
