The widespread adoption of information technologies (including those utilising artificial intelligence) is accompanied by a growing number of cybersecurity challenges. Tackling them requires developing appropriate system programming methods and technologies. The speaker will discuss emerging threats and highlight the need to create end-to-end technologies that ensure the full life cycle of developing and operating systems with a given level of trust. Another prominent topic will be organizational models for the development of relevant technologies based on the examples of the ISP RAS Centre for Security Studies of System Software and Trusted Artificial Intelligence Research Centre. The seminar will include results of these centre’s work and proposals for further development of the scientific and technological foundation of the IT industry.

RAS Academician Harutyun I. Avetisyan is a Russian scientist working in applied mathematics, system programming, artificial intelligence. In 2015, he was elected Director of the RAS Institute of System Programmin. He is the RAS Deputy President for Digital Transformation; Head of the System Programming Departments at Moscow State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and Higher School of Economics; Editor-in-Chief of Programming and Computer Software and Proceedings of ISP RAS, Scientific Advisor and Chair of the Editorial Board of System Administrator.
