On 5 May 2022, the Laboratory of Radiation Biology JINR hosted an online biophysical seminar. Students, postgraduates, and young specialists of the Department of Biophysics of Dubna State University presented their scientific projects at the seminar.

Presented scientific works were conducted on the platform of the Laboratory of Radiation Biology and the Laboratory of High Energy Physics in cooperation with the National Research Centre “Kurchatov Institute”. Topics of reports covered a wide range of scientific directions: the study of induction and reparation of double-strand DNA breaks , study of morphofunctional changes in the central nervous system, mathematical modelling in various fields of radiation biology, research of the AraC drug effect on the body radiosensitivity, and much more.

Head of the Department of Biophysics, RAS Academician, Professor Evgeny Krasavin headed the seminar and gathered more than 40 students and postgraduates of all years. Participants of the seminar included scientific leaders, the teaching staff of the department, LRB researchers who supervise the presented projects.

It was noted that the results of the seminar demonstrated the high preparation level of speakers who presented conducted experiments.

Scientific leaders highlighted the variety of topics and a wide range of scientific interests of young people. The results of scientific experiments presented at the seminar have confirmed the high preparation level of young scientists and verified the versatility and quality of education obtained at the Department of Biophysics of Dubna State University.
