On 24 March 2022, the scientific seminar “On the way to the synthesis of element 120” by Yuri Oganessian will be held in the Conference Hall of the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions. The event will start at 3:30 PM.

Abstract:
After some short analysis of SHE synthesis in cold and hot fusion reactions the ways of synthesis of element 120 using 54Cr ion beam at SHE Factory are considered. Some experiments are proposed to broaden our horizons on heaviest element synthesis and their decay properties.
