On 25 February 2018, first competitions of the XIX Sports Games dedicated to the 62nd JINR anniversary were held.

At 2:00 PM, ski races started. In spite of freezing weather, about 30 people came to take part in them. Participants competed in individual trials and relay races.

In the category of participants under 40, Svintsitsky Artem (VBLHEP) won the race, Grazhdankin Alexander (Repair and Construction Site) came the second, and Martovsky Dmitry (Fire Rescue Division 26) was the third in the race.

In the age group 40 plus, the first place was won by Ryabov Sergei (SIM Office), Podshibyakin Alexander (FLNR) was the second, Butorin Aleksey (VBLHEP) came the third.

Among women the first place was won by Alikina Maria (VBLHEP), Zhdanova Nadezhda (SIM Office) was the second, Barzylovich Evgenia (AS Office) was the third in the race.

5 teams competed in the mixed relay: FLNR, VBLHEP, Sim Office, LHE, AS Office. AS Office won the race, VBLHEP team was the second, SIM Office team came the third.

The day was continued by competitions in traditional archery that were held in the shooting gallery of the “Nauka” Stadium. 6 teams took part in the competition: Azerbaijan, the military unit 3559, Kazakhstan, VBLHEP, Russia, JINR Veterans. Teams had three sets with three shots each, the first set was for adjustment and the second set was recorded. Three best results of a team were recorded. The total number of points was 60.

VBLHEP team presented by Filippov Mikhail, Shilin Vadim, Gulina Marina, Filippov Nikolay became the winner with 118 points. Team of Russia presented by Koval Oksana, Shcherbakov Alexander, Novoselov Aleksey, and Melezhik Anton became the second with 92 points. The bronze was won by the team of Kazakhstan represented by Mutali Alisher, Nurkasova Aru, Pokrovsky Pavel, Orazgali Tokjan with 82 points.

In individual male contest, the winners are:

• 1st Shilin Vadim (82 points)
• 2nd Filippov Mikhail (45 points)
• 3rd Shcherbakov Alexander (39 points)

In individual female contest, the winners are:

• 1st Nurkasova Aru (37 points)
• 2nd Koval Oksana (16 points)
• 3rd Gulina Marina (15 points)

Tomorrow, on 27 February 2018, in the frames of the XIX Sports Games the first round of mini-football will be held at 7:00 PM. Competitions will be held in the gym of the JINR Sports Club. Everyone is kindly invited to support favourite teams and watch graceful football.
