Dean of the Physics Faculty of the University of Tarbiat Modares (Tehran, Iran) Ali Bakouei accompanied by his Assistant Ali Kalvanda arrived to JINR with a reconnaissance visit on 28 March 2016.

The guests were acquainted with the mliestones of the JINR activities, with educational programmes which are being implemented by the JINR University centre, visited the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions and the Veksler and Baldin Laboratory of High Energy Physics.

At the concluding meeting with JINR Vice-Director Mikhail Itkis, guests congratulated JINR on its 60th anniversary and thanked the JINR Directorate for hospitality, the guests also showed interest in organization of cooperation with JINR in the fields of education and personnel training. The guests were especially interested in the experience of JINR in the construction of accelerators, in particular, electron accelerators.
