From 10 to 12 October 2018, a Mongolian delegation visited JINR represented by Executive Director of MonAtom Dorjbai Dalaijargal, Financial Director Damiran Batzaya, Mongolian journalists Khatanbataar Ganbataar, Baramsai Chadraabal, Galdan Battsetseg, Enkhjargal Odjargal and Rusatom staff members A.S. Kuznetsov and D.I. Strelnikov.

On 10 October, the guests of the Institute met with JINR Vice-Director, Professor M.G. Itkis, Head of the JINR Scientific Information Department B.M. Starchenko and Editor-in-chief of the JINR Weekly Newspaper E.M. Molchanov. At the meeting the guest were acquainted with some historical aspects of JINR foundation, main fields of its activities; the representatives of JINR also spoke about the role of international cooperation including that with scientific and educational institutions of Mongolia.

Acquaintance with the Institute was continued on 11 October. Assistant Director of the Science Organization and International Cooperation Office W. Chmielowski, Leading Staff Member of the International Cooperation Department M.G. Loshchilov, Head of the National Group of Mongolia in JINR O. Chuluunbaatar answered the questions of the Mongolian journalists and MonAtom leaders. This day, the Mongolian delegation visited the Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics where the guests were acquainted with research conducted at the REGATA facility and visited the experimental hall. Moreover, the delegation had excursions to the Laboratory of Radiation Biology and the Medico-Technical Complex at the Phasotron of the Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems. Members of the delegation met their compatriots working at JINR and showed a great interest in their life and work in Dubna. At the closing meeting in the JINR Directorate, the Mongolian party expressed a profound gratitude to the leadership of the Institute for a cordial reception and an opportunity to get fully acquainted with the activities of the Institute.
