12 young scientists and 3 teams of authors from 9 municipal entities were honored to get the Moscow Region Governor’s award for their achievements in science and innovation in 2017.
Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Region Government, MR Minister of Investments and Innovations Denis Butsaev congratulated scientists on the Day of Russian Science and presented them with laureate certificates.
“This year, the laureates are 12 young scientists and 3 groups of authors from 9 municipal entities of the Moscow Region including 6 science towns. Most importantly, all topics of research have applied significance,” Denis Butsaev noted.
Deputy Director of the Science Organization and International Cooperation Office of JINR, Candidate of Biological Sciences, the Dubna State University graduate Oleg V. Belov became the laureate of the Governor’s award-2017 “In the fields of science and innovations” with the research work “Study of neurochemical mechanisms behind radiation effects in the central nervous system”. Basing on the conducted research, methodological approach for evaluation of neurochemical mechanisms behind radiation effects in the central nervous system is proposed. The approach combines experimental and computation techniques. Moreover, the recovering ability of brain regions is revealed after the radiation exposure. Furthermore, software and mathematical models were worked out that allow studying of earlier stages of neurons damage inaccessible for experimental research.
Research in the fields of energy conservation, biomedicine, biology, physics, macrokinetics, aerodynamics, rocket science and electronics was awarded the prize. More than 100 applications were submitted to the Governor’s award.
Annually 15 Governor’s prizes “In the fields of science and innovations” for young scientists and specialists are awarded. Prizes consist of a reward of 700 thousand rubles and a certificate of the winner.
