On 2 – 9 July 2017, the 9th Annual Scientific-Technical Summer School «Future Human Resources» is being held in Dubna. Traditionally on the basis of the University «Dubna», the School is bringing together talented students from various cities of Russia. This year, about 50 students of higher educational institutions of Samara, Voronezh, Ivanovo, Penza and Yoshkar-Ola attended the School.

The Summer School programme includes visits to major high-tech enterprises and organizations of Dubna such as the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, the «Raduga» State Engineering Design Bureau, the Aspekt and Dedal enterprises, etc., as well as business companies of the Special Economic Zone «Dubna»: OKB «Aerospace systems», Rospartner, Eyliton, Akvanova Rus, the Svyaz Engineering Design Bureau, etc. for the purpose of acquaintance with activities of the enterprises and possible future employment. In addition to the rich excursion programme, participants listen to lectures by leading scientists and specialists of JINR in the following areas: nuclear physics, information technologies, biomedicine and nuclear medicine, designing of complex technical systems, nanotechnology and new materials.

However, this year, in the frames of the Summer School an experiment of a new project started: high school students from the gymnasium No. 8 named after academician N.N. Bogoliubov (Dubna) were invited to participate in the School. During this week, the students also were visiting companies of the city, solving multidisciplinary tasks and were acquainted in detail with faculties and departments of the University «Dubna» to select a direction of further education.
