On 11 January 2021, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on Digital and Technological Development Dmitry Peskov visited the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research.

During the visit, Dmitry Peskov had a working meeting with JINR Director Academician Grigory Trubnikov in the frames of which the unique JINR experience as of an international intergovernmental scientific and research organization was presented to the Special Representative of the President of Russia. Dmitry Peskov congratulated Grigory Trubnikov on assuming the post of the JINR Director and expressed readiness to enhance cooperation highlighting a considerable human, scientific-technological, and innovative capacity of the Institute.

D. N. Peskov got acquainted with work of the Laboratory of High Energy Physics, the Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions, and the Laboratory of Information Technologies. In particular, he visited the site of the NICA mega-project, the Superheavy Element Factory based on the new DC-280 accelerator, the nanocentre, the supercomputer “Govorun”, as well as met with heads and staff members of these laboratories.
