Registration for conference on neutron research of condensed matter starts

JINR employees are invited to participate in the 4th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference titled “Tasks and Methods of Neutron Research of Condensed Matter”, which will take place from 11 to 15 November 2024 in the hybrid format in the Dubna State University.The university and the Joint Institute are holding the conference as part of the implementation of the research grant programme of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.

The aim of the event is to discuss the latest achievements in the theory of interaction of neutron radiation with matter and methods of neutron experiment, research of crystal and magnetic structures, dynamic properties and elementary excitations in condensed media, research of biological systems and objects of cultural heritage, and fundamental research with neutrons.

Topics of the conference:

  • neutron scattering for condensed matter research;
  • development and modelling of neutron scattering stations;
  • neutron radiation detectors;
  • detector electronics;
  • methods of neutron experiment;
  • automation and processing of experimental data;
  • life science.

The conference is organized in cooperation with Kazan (Volga Resion) Federal University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Konstantinov Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute of Kurchatov Institute, Institute for Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), Mikheev Institute of Metal Physics of the Ural Branch of RAS.

Abstracts of the participants’ reports will be published as a conference collection indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index.
