On 8 December, Mikhail Itkis gave an interview to the column “Radioactive elements” of PostNauka. A PostNauka researcher Ilya Gridnev discussed with Mikhail Grigorievich how many radioactive elements exist in nature, what transuranium elements are, what “magical” nuclei stand for, and what elements are synthesized in Dubna.
Mikhail Itkis is Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor, Deputy Scientific Leader of the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research.
