Projects of “MISIS” for young and experienced scientists

- On 22 March 2018, the teleconference from the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN, Geneva, Swiss) will be held in the National University of Science and Technology “MISIS”.
Leading researcher of CERN will deliver a workshop “Measurement of D0 mesons lenght of life at LHCb” during which he will explain how to differ real data from random noises basing at acquired results. Then, participants will make a laboratory work at the end of which everyone will be awarded with certificates confirming gaining of skills of data processing with LHC.

Press release of the event - The National University of Science and Technology “MISIS” orginizes the course of lectures on various tasks solving of which is the aim of the project «Prospective Technological, Methodical and Material Solutions for New Physical Effects Searches». CERN, the Italian National Institute of Nulcear Physics (INFN), the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL), the National University of Science and Technology “MISIS”, NRC “The Kurchatov Institute”, the Astro Space Centre of the Lebedev Physical Institute of RAS, Imperial College London, the University of Naples Federico II, the University of Zurich are participants of the project.
The ultimate objective of the project: development of new technical solutions for particle detectors of the next generation for deeper understanding of fundumental properties of matter.
On 27 March 2018, the first lecture “Search for new phenomena at the intensity frontier” by Andrey Golutvin and Federico Redi will be held. Registration is open now.
There is a shedule of lectures for the spring term and on-line pre-registration on the web site: http://research.misis.ru/megascience.
Lectures are aimed at wide audience and will be delivered in English with simultaneous translation into Russian.
