On Tuesday, 22 March 2016, 8 TV channels including The First, Russia 1, Russia 24, NTV, TV Center, Russia Today, and Ren TV And also the journalists from national information agencies such as TASS and RIA Russia today, Gazeta.ru, Lenta.ru, Atomic energy and others came to JINR within the framework of a press tour due to the coming start of the NICA accelerator complex construction, the first launch of which is planned for 2017.

Besides the presentation of the complex by VBLHEP Director Vladimir Kekelidze, journalists were taken to the superconducting magnets factory and the existing Nuclotron facility.

Such interest of Russian and international media representatives is explained by the fact that it is one of the most ambitious scientific projects of the international scientific union including more then 30 countries among participants.
