The Scientific and Practical Conference for schoolchildren “III Mendeleev readings” will be held on 19-24 January 2015 in the JINR Museum of the History of Science and Technology. The organizers of the event are the Center for Additional Education for Children “Friendship” and the JINR Museum of the History of Science and Technology.Children (students of primary and secondary schools) will make scientific and educational reports that will be accompanied by colorful presentations, exciting tests and experiments. The number of speakers has significantly increased this year – 22 Readings are held to support children’s creative abilities, development of cognitive activity and research abilities. The purpose of the initiators of the readings is to allow children who are interested in a variety of scientific phenomena to describe them impressively, easy to understand, involving large audience. The opening of the Readings will be held on 19 January at 6 pm in the JINR Museum of the History of Science and Technology (Flerov str., bld. 6). Over the following days (20-24 January 2015) the Reading will be held in the JINR Museum, as well as in schools.
