A presentation of the Diploma of foreign member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU) to Academician V.G.Kadyshevsky was held on 1 July at the International Conference Hall. The NASU First Vice-President A.P.Shpak sent cordial congratulations of the NASU President Academician B.E.Paton and marked the outstanding service of Academician V.G.Kadyshevsky in science and JINR sustaining and development.

This year, V.G. Kadyshevsky has also been awarded the NANU V.I. Vernadsky Gold medal.

JINR Director Academician A.N.Sissakian, Deputy Minister of Industry of the Moscow Region N.N.Kisilev, Plenipotentiary of the Government of Ukraine to JINR V. S.Stogniy and Academician B.V.Grinev made their speeches. They warmly congratulated the new member of the NANU and marked his outstanding services in science and development of the international cooperation of scientists, wishing him good health and future success.
