Within the framework of the FAIR Programme

The first in RF meeting of the NUSTAR (NUclear STructure, Astrophysics, Reactions) collaboration within the framework of the FAIR (Facilities for Antiproton and Ion Research) Programme was held in Dubna on 5-10 October 2009 in the International Conference Hall.
The meeting was organized with the active participation of three JINR Laboratories – FLNR, BLTP and VBLHEP and western scientific centers – GSI, TUM, TUD, KVI, Edinburgh University, Lund University, Chalmers University, Granada University and some others. The financial support was provided by FLNR and RFBR (the Russian Foundation for Basic Research) and also with the support of FRRC (FAIR Russia Research Center). The meeting programme was full in contents and multipurpose; it included plenary sessions, the sectional sessions on new NuSTAR projects in FAIR, and also the lectures on NuSTAR physics and detectors for young scientists. The meeting proceedings could be found at http://nustar2009.narod.ru/.
