The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research celebrated two publishing jubilees in 2009: the 40th anniversary of the journal “Physics of Elementary Particles and Atomic Nuclei” foundation and the 25th anniversary of the journal “PEPAN Letters” foundation. The results of the contest for the award of the RAS and the Company “Science/Interperiodica” for the best publication of the year were summed up on the New Year’s Eve in the RAS Hotel “Uzkoe”.  Vice-presidents of the RAS, heads of publishing companies, head editors of scientific journals, representatives of the scientific community attended the meeting. Among the laureates were two publications published in the JINR journals. Diplomas will be presented to the authors of the publications at the meeting of the JINR Scientific Council on 18 February.
