Milestones of the last seven years and perspectives of development of JINR in the next seven years were considered at the session of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries of JINR Member States on 25-26 March 2010. Elections of the JINR Director were held. Much attention was attended to the innovative area: the session discussed a programme of applied research on the future collider NICA.

 

A.N.Sissakian presented a report on the milestones of JINR activity in 2003-2009 and on perspectives of the development of JINR in 2010-2016. The Committee of Plenipotentiaries of JINR Member States listened to the information on milestones of the meeting of the JINR Financial Committee (it was held on 22-23 March 2010), about milestones of the audit of the JINR financial activity of 2008 and on the administration of the JINR budget of 2009.

 A report of VBLHEP Director Professor V.D.Kekelidze on the programme of applied research on the future collider NICA raised big interest of the Committee.

 

Academician A.N.Sissakian was unanimously elected JINR Director on open vote for a new term of office.

 

S.N.Mazurenko presented the Badge “Honorary Worker of science and technology of the Russian Federation” to Igor Anatolievich Golutvin (VBLHEP, JINR).
