NICA-SPIN-2013
Conferences, 18 March 2013
The first international workshop on spin physics at the NICA collider NICA-SPIN-2013 was opened at the Veksler and Baldin Laboratory of High Energy Physics on 18 March 2013. Leading specialists in this field from Russia, Italy and Bulgaria participate in the workshop.
The main aim of these workshops is to prepare particular proposals (projects) and to organize the international collaboration on research in spin structure of nuclotrons at the NICA collider. Acceleration schemes and devices associated with beams of polarized protons and deuterons, requirements to facilities, necessary options and opportunities will be discussed during two days. The next discussion is scheduled for this summer. And in September, the first proposal and the major physical tasks of the research programme will be formulated at the DSPIN-2013 meeting.
