Platform of Festival of Ideas and Technologies in Dubna

On 28 November, the School for Young Engineers “The NICA Vector” welcomed participants of the International Festival of Ideas and Technologies “Rukami” in Dubna.
Workshops on computer 3D modelling, robotics, programming, and science popular physics experiments planned for August had to be shifted to an online-format because of the coronavirus pandemic.
But all these workshops given by students and teachers of the School for Young Engineers “The NICA Vector” gathered a hundred of listeners from all over Russia, from Irkutsk and Perm to Moscow.
The debut of young engineers was successful. “Thanks! I liked everything”, “Thank you! It was interesting!” This is what participants of the Festival site of the School for Young Engineers wrote in the chat about experiments on demonstration of properties of water and air. Organizers demonstrated experiments that could be simultaneously performed by participants at home.
As soon as the pandemic ends, young engineers will definitely welcome curious children from Dubna and neighbouring cities at the site of School No. 7 for the Festival of Ideas and Technologies like they have done it at the beginning of autumn.
Background Information
The School for Young Engineers “The NICA Vector” has been operating in Dubna since 2016 as an educational project of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. Full-time classes are held in Dubna School No. 7.
In December 2020, the online format of all the courses of the School will be opened.
